Today Buddhas birthday or so called Vesak is celebrated in Sri Lanka. Nevertheless recent elections and contradictious outcomes of it in the East, nevertheless recent tensions, bomb blasts, killings and heavy fights in the North tonight Singhalese Buddhists of Sri Lanka enjoyed Vesak festival with sharing tea and rice, lightning colorful lanterns and singing songs.
